Hitchhikable/public transport Tararua entrances?
Looking to do an overnighter this weekend in Tararua, but have some vehicle issues (and no friends overly keen to do long lifts).
I am not overly familiar with Tararua - what are some entrances/exits that are hitchhiking/public transport friendly?
Kaitoke road end isnt too bad Hitch up sh2 to the Pakuratihi river and walk up Marchent road to the ymca camp.
Everything else is a long way up back roads
