Can you still camp here? I did in 2005 but the DOC website isn't clear, not sure if you still can? Can anyone comment on how bad the wasps are at present? Looking for a short walk where we can camp with young kids, in case the weather further West is not looking so fun - any other suggestions close to Chch welcome (no further than a 3km walk, Miss 4 is not a great walker and I am pregnant so not carrying her!)
There is still a sign saying camping area at the fork in the 2 streams. However the toilet was pretty rank 3 months ago and pretty obvious others thought the same. Wasps dont know but there has been a vespex operation over the last few years
