Snow on Kaweka ranges?
Has anyone recently seen if there's still snow at Kaweka tops? Freezing levels have been pretty high, but not sure that means all snow is gone.
snow down to 900m forecast for the weekend
Update: There was indeed no snow on the Kaweka's, the only snow that was there was current, i.e. what was forecast, so no technical gear required.
You might still get your feet wet a bit if you have very open shoes, but nothing problematic even if wearing trail runners I would say. It's melting fast, so probably nothing left soon.
