sound dampner for the MSR Dragon Fly
Does anyone know if there are any sort of sound dampners for the MSR Dragon Fly that are sold in NZ? If not, is there any tips on how to make it quieter withput affecting the performance?

I know of 3 silent caps that are sold via ebay. The original was the BD dragon tamer next was the quietstove copy of the same thing and lastly a Korean cap which is quite different and tuneable. I had a play with mine and got good results using a burner from an old Gaz stove with the tube cut off and the inside mesh removed. Never fully happy with it though as it flattened the flame resulting in lots of heat escaping to the side of the pot
