It would reduce overcrowding on the Tongariro Crossing except at peak times
It wouldn't worry me as the Tongariro Crossing, thanks to over-tourism, will never see me again.
I like to do my tramping in places where I'm less likely to bump into somebody talking to a camera at the end of a pole...
Gazcan...I did the Tongariro Crossing a few years ago under a full moon, only saw one person the entire time. There are still plenty of ways to not see people on popular routes, but yes, the selfie-stick needs to be banned!
