Lake Angelus Hut to Mt Cedric or Sabine Hut?
Hi. We have been researching a walk in the Lake Angelus region. We have heard great things of the views going from Lake Angelus Hut to the Sabine Hut.
My question is could we get those great views by staying 2 nights at the Lake Angelus Hut and doing a day walk from that hut over to Mt Cedric and back? (The point of this is to avoid the very steep descent down to the Sabine Hut.)

I was looking at the map again and I think you could probably get views to rival that of Mt Cedric by just scrambling directly up on to the ridge on the far side of Lake Angelus.
But no worries.. there are plenty of places to wander around on the tops there in good weather.
The only thing you have to worry about is the weather.
