Routeburn this Weekend!

Hi Guys, new to the forum, but have used it for info several times. Intending on doing the Routeburn Track this Weekend. Forecast from Metvuw looks pretty good between now and then. Few questions - What are the general conditions like? Any snag points/ problem areas? Does anyone know what level the snow is at at the Harris Saddle? (I have seen a previous post saying that it was all up top last week/ weekend). Would you recommend taking ice axe, crampons and avo gear? Thanks in advance for info.
YOU CANT GO. THERES A HIGH AVALANCHE RISK FROM RECENT SNOWFALL SINCE THE WEEKEND if theres any avalanche risk then harris bluffs will be at risk from avalanche DOC will tell you the same thing. https://www.avalanche.net.nz/region/12
Hi Rambler. Routeburn is a great walk in every sense...track is well maintained and the huts are absolutely beautiful. You will have fantastic scenery in every corner of the walk. As waynowsky suggest double check the conditions...in this track people have lost their life. It's not a super demanding walk but still you are in an alpine area...so weather can be tricky. My first day was under the rain and the rest two days were shiny.
Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to it. After assessing the situation with some info from DOC and the topo maps have decided to do the Divide to Lake McKenzie Hut only and avoid the Harris Saddle. I have some alpine experience, and have got the gear but my partner doesn't. So it's better this way! Thanks again for the advice!
the hollyford face crosses several avalanche paths https://www.doc.govt.nz/globalassets/documents/parks-and-recreation/tracks-and-walks/southland/routeburn-track-winter-tramping.pdf
Thanks waynowski. As per my post I have assessed this. I was also looking for information from someone on the ground, as opposed to information which can be easily found online.
