What knife do you take with you in the bush?

My current knife is the [ESEE 6](https://eseeknives.com/knives/esee-knives/esee-6/) which too heavy to take tramping (340g) so im looking for a smaller knife that is significantly lighter but still reliable enough to last a few years of general field use. **What knife do you use**?
I don't take a reliable knife but it is light, only 35g, for $5.50 on Trademe. It's called "Super Knife". Haha! It'll let me down one day but it's been okay for a while so far. Mind you, I've not done anything tougher than slice salami with it yet.
The back of a spork sometimes, or a Swiss army blade if I'm feeling primal.
Depends on the trip. Used to carry a machete years ago, but mainly for bush bashing or shelter building with a group. Sometimes take a multi-tool and again the pliers have come in handy for crampon and hut repairs but 99% of the time they are just excess weight on standard trips. Now I only take my climbing knife as it is about 50g and has a reasonable blade for stabbing salami and cheese and cutting rope,paracord/laces etc. https://www.bivouac.co.nz/petzl-spatha.html
Thumbs up

A box cutter - plastic - in my First Aid kit. https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1_iaAPVXXXXXDXXXXq6xXFXXX5/Utility-Knife-Pocket-Knife-Box-Cutter-Knife-Plastic-Knife-yellow-color.jpg_640x640.jpg Sharp enough to hi-jack a plane with. As stated, depends on what you want it for ?.
Not taking any knife. The wife has a plastic knife (a better version of the throw-away), just for smearing butter and salami. The only reason to bring one would be for wood-cutting, and in that case I would prefer a foldable saw, weight would be similar to what you already have.
Victorinox multi purpose, its all I have ever needed. Very sharp and just as good for salami, or skinning a possum when a bit of extra meat is needed for the pot.
I normally take a Mora bush knife (the bright orange one), but I just bought a Mora Fire knife, which is the basically the same thing, but has a fire steel in the handle. A bit overkill perhaps, but I like the fact it can handle some light batoning of firewood, and nice to know I always have a fire starter on my belt if I need it. And it's pretty light (83g apparently).
Then there's the ubiquitous Opinel knife I've never owned one, but most folk who do speak well of them.
Otter Messer Mercator - like 50% of everyone else in the bush. Nothing fancy but bulletproof
