Tiraumea hut/ mole saddle?

Hi there, can anyone report on what the track from the mole saddle down to the tiraumea is like? And back up again? Im taking some tramping savvy young kids into the mole area and was considering camping down at the Tiraumea for a couple of nights before returning the same way. If its too narly I will avoid the area altogether. I have been to the mole tops many years ago but not any further. Thanks.
