As a kid my father told old tramping stories of of real kiwi jokers, the mad man of Moehau and tramping in the Tararua's and took me for my first tramp into the Kauaeranga Valley when I was 11 and I was hooked. Haven't really done much since my teens, raising a family of 4 children keeps one busy, but am now am getting back into it and introducing my kids to the great NZ bush.
