I have been in the mapping business for 20 years and just launched a new product that I hope the users of this forum may be interested in. Although I am based in Australia and this appears like a shameless plug for my product, I actually enjoy tramping and have walked the Hollyford track in 2008. Other notable walks include- - Mt Vesuvius, Italy - Cradle Mountain, Tasmainia - Sandia Peak, Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Please take a look at my MAPSTIX product at www.mapstix.com They are designed for easy of use without an internet connection. There are plenty of other web based tools around that will provide additional features, but the MAPSTIX are a convient way to store, transport and use topo maps. I welcome your feedback.
