I'm a 40yo (but comfortable hanging with any age) Canadian male with lots of tramping experience traveling in New Zealand for 5 months and looking to do as much hiking as possible. I'll have all my own gear but will probably lack a vehicle. I'm arriving in Auckland in a week (!) and leaving again in early April. I'll be on the North Island until Christmas and on the South Island after that. I have no definite travel plans except for spending Christmas holidays with family in Dunedin. I'd love to meet other experience trampers and do some multiday tramps - both on and off track - of varying difficulties. And, in return, I'd gladly share my knowledge of hiking around Vancouver and the Canadian Rockies.

I am travelling the South Island for One Year. Passion is tramping. But I also do rock climbing and would like to start Mountaineering or just walking up easy peaks.
I prefer uncrowded and lonesome tracks and normally get the best from old kiwis. so far i am travelling alone but I would like to have a partner because it s much safer and I would like to share my mind sometimes.
