Hi, Can anyone help with ideas of things to do based from Charleston. I am going down there for a week primarily to go caving but if the west coast puts on much rain then other options might be better. I plan to do the inland pack track one day but have no other ideas of things other than things like the pancake rocks. Thanks
Hi nzpixie. The Inland Pack track is no good if the rivers are up. The Croesus track is nearby and a good walk without watercourses that would be problematic. Mt Bovis is a good walk with a couple of creeks to cross that could get tricky but they would drop fairly quickly after heavy rain. Both Croesus & Bovis walks are best done when the sky is clear so you can appreciate the great views though!
Thanks glennj. Turned out that the inland pack track is still closed because of wind damage. We were active every day with caving, canyoning and 1 walk up to the four mile rd, down to hole in the wall and back down the Nile. Cant beleive that we had good weather every day
