I'm an experienced multiday camper and explorer with a sense of adventure. I'm frequently not content to stay on an established trail or go where everyone else goes. My favourite trips involve days of wandering in a vast wilderness without seeing roads, trails or other people, encountering only animals, following the lay of the land along creeks that twist through meadows and tundra. Each year, I'll do 2 or 3 trips of 5-7 days duration and a dozen in the 3-4 day range. My longest trip ever was 12 days but I rarely go longer than 7 days due to logistics and load weight. I usually log about 90+ hiking days and 40+ bag nights a year. I love alpine and sub-alpine meadows, tundra and forest parkland where I can wander at will in almost any direction. I also enjoy easy to moderate ridges where the non-technical walking means I can enjoy the view. To get to a good meadow, I'll go through a lot of difficult terrain, though. I'm very comfortable off-trail even when visibility is minimal.

Nothing yet.
