Getting there
Getting there
The bivvy is on former pastoral lease land near the St James Cycle Trail. At the bottom of the descent from Charlies Saddle down to the Waiau, a 4WD track leaves the road by a blue cycle way waratah. 35m down this track a pink cruise taped route begins. Follow this down to the Edwards River to Stony Stream where there's a newly cut horse trail through broom on the true left of the stream which takes you to the bivvy. It is possible to get to the biv on foot from Tutu Hut via tops travel as well.
