L Plated Tramper - Tonga Bay
Early one evening this month I caught up with a tramper on Tonga Bay beach in the Abel Tasman National Park. His brand new looking Aarn pack was sporting an L plate. On speaking with the gentleman concerned I deducted that he was not a learner tramper, in fact he was a veteran, but he explained that he was learning the intricacies of Aarn packs hence the L plate. As an Aarn user of several years standing I was able to give a few pointers on what set-up works for me.
[Aarn packs are great once you get them set up right. You can adjust them while walking & the balance pockets allow easy access to food, water bottle, camera etc! The Aarn I've got would be the most comfortable pack I've used in my 40+ years of regular pack use and that is an unsolicited endorsement!]
The aforementioned tramper consented to me taking several photographs of him with the pack & further use of the material.
The tide at Tonga Bay was fully out making for quick travel.
