Getting there
|
From Putara roadend follow the track over a small bridge then carry on up the Mangatainoka river till you have to cross a swingbridge.The track then goes steeply up a spur till you reach a sign at the top.Turn left[turning right goes to Herepai Hut-30mins]and follow the track down the ridge to the hut.One sidestream just before the hut can be a real problem as it floods easily. |
