Summary

Much of the river crossing and lake-side walking becomes impossible during and after wet weather, leading to long delays. An old stock route leads around Lake Alabaster, across several rivers and by Lake Wilmot. Beyond the Pyke River an old prospecting road leads out to Big Bay. The coastline is followed south to Martin's Bay.
