LBDuck Been there a couple of times...first visit was the day before the only time I have been lost. We left the hut, got disorientated in low cloud, without a compass (Duh)lost the route and after a good couple of hours procrastinating decided to find a stream heading down hill in the knowledge we would either find the Taipo or the road...we found 2 wet nights in what was formerly known as Dead mans creek, full of bluffs and waterfalls.....learnt a couple of lessons that weekend.
