Waikura River below the Raukumara Forest park boundary. The Waikura is a LINZ-owner riverbed, so publicly accessible - but has no Queens chain so river banks are private. Not an issue as the river flats are huge. Good campspots near the park boundary, but increasingly gorged and slipped as you go upstream. A viable but scrubby crossing into the Kopuapounamu exists, and other ridgelines may be accessible with care.
