Olivine Hut

Olivine (6 bunk, stove, firewood available) is an old forestry style hut on the banks of the Pyke River.

If you've just arrived from Alabaster you've probably spent the day a) wading the lake (easier than bashing the sidle 'track'), b) wading through marshes in the Pyke, and c) wading through the various side creeks. Get the fire cranking and dry those clothes!

Beyond the hut a cage across the Olivine River offers hope (bring oil - very rusted) that river crossing will be drier from now on. Don't be fooled: there's at least 3 major side creeks left to wade, lake Wilmot to negotiate and then the crossing of the Pyke itself before you're on dry land.
