Getting there
The bivvy is on former pastoral lease land near the St James Cycle Trail. At the bottom of the descent from Charlies Saddle down to the Waiau, a 4WD track leaves the road by a blue cycle way waratah. 35m down this track a pink cruise taped route begins. Follow this down to the Edwards River to Stony Stream and then up Stony Stream. A Billy lid attached to a beech tree on the TL of the stream marks where to leave the creek. Or leave the stream at the 2m waterfall 100m downstream of the biv.
