Getting there
|
The bivvy is on former pastoral lease land near the St James Cycle Trail. At the bottom of the descent from Charlies Saddle down to the Waiau, a 4WD track leaves the road by a blue cycle way marker post. 35m down this track a pink cruise taped route begins. Or walk up or down the Edwards River to Stony Stream and then up Stony Stream to the bivvy. A Billy lid attached to a beech tree on the TL of the stream marks where to leave the creek and climb up on to the low terrace where the biv is. |
