Waiopehu Hut sits just on the bushline in the Northern Tararua range. About a 3 to 6 hour walk from Poads Road carpark. It is very difficult to get a good picture of this hut, this picture was taken from 10 metres up a tree. The hut has recently been fited with double glazing and seems quite a lot warmer than previously, there is no fire. Great views to Levin and Horwhenua
