An old NZ Forest Service hut up the Begley Valley. Fire doesn't draw well and door has to be left open a crack.

Access from the Rainbow Valley Roadend (past Rainbow Homestead) is 16km (4-5 hours) to the hut. Track unmarked down the Rainbow Valley, however there are orange markers once you get passed the gorge. Hut is a bit hard to se at first. Once you cross the mostly dry riverbed coming down from the left, there is a clearing. The hut is hidden behind some trees.
