Bealy hut
A standard 6 bunk NZFS hut modified by DOC. The "nameboard" on the hut now reads "NO OPEN FIRES" rather than "BEALY HUT", presumably because DOC has removed all forms of heating. On my last visit the hut was well provisioned with firewood and there was a large open fireplace outside. Sometimes DOC moves in mysterious ways! An easy "bag" for passing hutbaggers.
