A 5km walk that can be done during a spring tide when timing favourable, leave and hour before low, short stay on island (about 30min) and return. Leave from Matahui Rd, Tauranga where there is a car park for about 5 cars. Please watch the tides carefully, apparently it is usually only a couple of metres high when fully in, but as always be ultra careful near water.
