Getting there
|
From the carpark at Parsons road follow the Hapuku river to the gorge approx 2.5 hours. There is a track which takes you around the gorge and decends back into the Hapuku. At the marked junction take the track to the forks of the North & South branches of the river. Once in the riverbed a 10 minute walk will see you at the forks proper. From there follow the river. After an hour or so the river turns slightly gorgey for another hour before opening out just short of the biv (20-30 minutes). |
