Townsend hut
Arthur's Pass National Park
Townsend hut which is perched high above the TL of the Taramakau River in the scrub - tussock transition zone is reached by a cut and marked track from the river bed. This fairly well used track and usefully placed four bunk hut open up lots of options for tops travel.
