An extended Forest Service hut quite similar to the nearby Lake Christabel hut. This hut is located in a man made clearing in tall beech forest in the upper reaches of the Robinson River which is a tributary of the Grey River.

1/From Palmer Road end (quickest & easiest walk) A DOC walking track now skirts the outside of the farm. Permission isn't being given to drive through the farm to the Robinson River as per the old days when Newcombes owned the property. 2/From Lake Christabel hut. 3/There is also over the tops access from the Waiheke valley. |
