Otehake route: cross below swingbridge and take NZFS track to open tops, descend via fault scarp gully Townsend route: from Townsend hut, sidle and climb around 2 spurs and basins to gain saddle that overlooks Koropuku Valley. Koropuku gorge route: drop down from Otehake track to junction of river with gorge. Travel up gorge (agile scrambling required) till meets Big Gully. Go up this approx 80m vertical and then sidle, maintaining altitude till opposite "fault scarp" gully. Ref Remote Huts
