Ellis Basin Hut
Kahurangi National Park
A six bunk hut hiding at the bottom of the Ellis Basin on the south side of Mt Arthur. Caving is done in the area and the hut contains diagrams of the surrounding cave systems.

Getting there
|
Access can be gained from the end of Baton Valley Road. A sometimes rugged climb through bush of about 10 or 12km. Probably easier accessed from Flora saddle with a steep descent from Mt Arthur itself. |
