Basic 4 bunk hut on the edge of Adelaide Tarn. Surrounded by a series of low peaks (Mt Douglas, Trident and The Needle) Fill in an afternoon by traversing them all! One of the most beautiful spots Kahurangi NP.

From Boulder Lake hut via Cow Saddle. Via the Lead Hills. From Lonely Lake Hut via the Douglas Range. From the Anatoki Forks Hut. For the more ambitious, from Brown Hut on the Heaphy Track via Mt Olympus. Mt Olympus is where some of the filming for Lord of the Rings was done. It has interesting formations and a great backdrop in the form of the Quartz Range. |
