This hut suggests the walk is a popular one. The Cass-Lagoon saddles walk is promoted such that most people will stay overnight at Hamilton hut. The other options on the walk are west Harper hut and Cass hut which both leave a lot to be desired. They are older 'deer hunter'type huts
