A tidy hut situated on the TL bank of the Blue Grey River about 20 minutes above Lake Christabel near the junction with the Rough Saddle & Robinson Saddle tracks.

Getting there

1/ From Palmer Road up the Blue Grey River. 2/ From the Rough Creek bridge, SH 7 Speargrass Flat, Maruia River via Rough Saddle 3/ From Top Robinson hut via Robinson Saddle. All of these routes are cut and marked tracks. Nos. 2 & 3 have snow poling through the saddles. 4/ From Boscawen Saddle, either dropping down to the head of the Blue Grey and then gaining height to the track to avoid scrub-bashing, or sidling across a scree (one hour's travel) to Robinson Saddle. |
