Manuoha Hut
Te Urewera
A small basic hut more commonly frequented by hunters then trampers. Situated 5 minutes past the trig. It has 6 bunks, a water tank and a small wood stove for heating (not suitable for cooking - carry your own stove)
As at Labour Weekend 2007 there was no water supply as the tank had rusted out. DOC are aware of this.

Getting there
|
From SH38 allow for 6hrs climbing steeply through difficult terrain. Alternate access from Sandy Bay hut is also tending up hill but is more gradual over a greater distance. |
