Newton Creek Hut (4 bunk, matresses, stove, firewood, water) is a pleasent forestry hut beside Newton creek. It's dryer and warmer than the swampy Dunns Creek location over the pass, and is a very welcome sight for those who have bashed / slipped their way through scrub and down rocks over the Newton Saddle. A tidy, well maintained hut.
