New hut high on the Mataketake Range above the Haast to Paringa Cattle Track. This hut opened February 2021, as a tribute to the late conservationist, Andy Dennis. The hut includes a library of Dennis's published books.

Two routes lead to this new hut. One sets off from near Maori Saddle Hut on the Haast to Paringa Cattle Track. the other is the Mica Mine Tops Route, leaving the Cattle Track west of Blowfly Hut and climbing to the tops. This route is fine weather only. |
