This track builds on the short Ashley Gorge Loop Track to take you in to a 10-metre waterfall on an unnamed stream. From the loop, a new volunteer-cut track sidles and climbs across the hillside. This hillside has slipped at some stage, with mossy stones running under the trees. The hillside also has some dry kānuka (makahikatoa) and coprosma gardens. Soon enough, the track crosses an open spur with a view, signpost and seat, before dropping into the cool, damp gully. Over some rocks, and you are at the foot of the pretty little falls.
