Huntsbury Track is the legal continuation of Huntsbury Road, and is open to mountain bikes and vehicles. From the car park and turning area at the top of Huntsbury Road, the wide track climbs easily through tussock farmland, and passes under power pylons. Behind you, the city spreads out like a dusty carpet. Easing for a bit, the track passes the small forest of Dry Bush on the left before climbing up to Summit Road near Mount Vernon. There are views into Lyttelton Harbour from the car park at the top.
