Innocuous looking but challenging when you attempt to enter it,this dynamic creek on Double Hill Station,Upper Rakaia River,will test your mettle.Can only be attempted in low flows,comes armed with natural barriers,the largest being a 35m waterfall at 1100m.The surrounding area has been heavily glaciated & is the preamble to gaining the Palmer Range with interesting features like Mother Millers Spring.And a few 2000m + peaks like Godley,Moorhouse & Smite.
