New track located in Paparoa National Park, and still under construction. The track is scheduled to open late 2018.
This track is planned to be a dual-use (walk / mountain bike) Great Walk. It was conceived as a memorial to the 29 miners who lost their lives in the Pike River Mine explosion of 2010. A side track will be created called the Pike29 Memorial Track.
