Eastern Okataina Walkway

Take some good legs and enjoy the track. Fairly easy walk but some up and down but you don't really realise until Monday morning. The bush changes as you walk which is really neat and for some parts you follow the lake where you can stop and have a swim, the water is beautiful.Starting at Lake Okataina you walk for about 3hrs to Lake Tarawera which is a lovely place to camp.There is a toilet there but you will have to take a tent etc.We had the pleasure of bumping into some Wallabies on the track and that night at camp look around you and you will spot glow worms everywhere. Really good tramp for the whole family.
