The track starts at Bealy Spur settlement off SH73 just a few minutes from the bealey hotel. There is a car parking area at the start of the track.
From the car park the track heads up through the beach forrest which has some short steep sections the after about and hour comes out to the view point at the 900 meters. The track continues throught the forrest and then on to the undulating ridge. Once you are on to the ridge you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of Arthurs Pass and the waimack river. The Bealey Spur Hut makes an ideal place to have lunch.
