Chaffey Hut
Kahurangi National Park
This hut was built by NZFS ranger Jack McBurney in 1953. By 1994 it was no longer maintained and becoming derelict. However, the Golden Bay Deer Stalkers invested 1500 hours in renovating the hut, and it was reopened August 2012. The hut is maintained by the GBDS. Check out photo 3 to see the 'new' hut.
