One of the best sited huts in NZ with the blue lake at your feet and mountains at your head. Expect lots of people.

5-7 hours from the Mt. Robert carpark (along the Robert Ridge), about 7 hours from the carpark via Speargrass Hut, 6 hours up steeply from Lakehead Hut and 5 untracked hours over Sunset Saddle from Hopeless Hut. |
