Getting there
Getting there
A legal road leaves Tyntesfield Road 2km from the end and drops to the Omaka River. Up river to the biv. Alternatively, a MTB trail leading from Black Birch Stream up to the Blairich Range gives access to a network of 4WD tracks that take you to the border of the Ferny Gair Conservation Area. Permission is not required for this route as a partial lease has been negotiated with Blairich Station enabling access. We went in via Black Birch Stream but Blairich or DoC at Renwick (Matt) can advise.
