Renata Hut on the Renata ridge between the old logging road from the Akatarawa summit and Elder Hut. An old style Tararua hut fairly basic but has lots of character. Old logging road is now only passable by hard core 4wd so does not get so many visitors. The hut is about 30 minutes from "the Junction"
