Ancient Tramper We couldn't see it from the summit of Mt Bruce either - it may be obscured by the shoulder of the hill or the bush below. Would be a handy spot in a southerly.

aardvark That's cool. I was on Mt Bruce a couple of days ago and didn't see it from up there. Last i was on the Cass - Lagoon track there was only the old shelter.
If i'd known i would have maybe made a side trip to check it out.
