Along way up
The track to Gillespie Pass climbs nearly verically towards the pass. This is looking back down into the Young Valley floor far below.

aardvark The first walk i did in NZ. It seemed steep then but i've done it again since and it didn't seem a big deal.

Yarmoss Thankfully the track doesnt come up this bit but up the spur which is angeling up out of shot to the left of frame. But yes, shes a long slow grind to the top.
